Notification to Indicate the Intention of Installing or the Installation and Bringing Into Use of Radiocommunications Apparatus Comprised in a Wireless Electronic Communications Network (MCA/F/11-0581)
1. With regard to radiocommunications apparatus, the Electronic Communications (Regulation) Act (Chapter 399 of the Laws of Malta) provides that an individual licence is only required for the installation or use of apparatus, unless the apparatus is licence exempt or is regulated by a general authorisation.
2. The radiocommunications apparatus comprised in a wireless electronic communications network operating on individual rights of use of radio frequencies granted under the said Act, is regulated by the General Authorisation (Radiocommunications Apparatus) Regulations (S.L.399.40) .
3. The relevant provisions under S.L399.40 require concerned undertakings to notify the Malta Communications Authority (MCA) with information demonstrating compliance with these Regulations, in particular with provisions concerning exposure to electromagnetic fields.
4. The MCA can carry out on-site inspections and/or measurements to verify the details provided in this notification and to ensure compliance with the national law.
5. Undertakings submitting a notification under Regulation 11(1) of S.L.399.40 are required to complete Sections A, B and D of this form.
6. Undertakings submitting a notification under Regulation 11(2) of S.L.399.40 are required to complete Sections A, C and D of this form.
7. Completed forms must be sent to the MCA at the address indicated in this form. Incomplete forms will be returned to the applicant.
